Our unique island designs may be inspired by architecture from around the world, but they are originals created right here in Hawaii with the beauty and uniqueness of the Hawaiian Islands in mind.

The ability to deliver your New Home or Renovation on time and on budget is thanks to the assistance of the latest technology, including superior estimating, design and project management systems developed especially for Island Style Homes.

How To Begin ……  Lets get started..

We believe a clearly defined project is essential when planning to build or remodel your home. As we guide you through our comprehensive process a new level of trust will be formed, this endeavor will not be viewed as exchanging money for services, but as a partnership in achieving your goals.

Our step by step process is an outline of events established to ensure your projects success.

1. WHAT WILL YOUR DREAM HOME LOOK LIKE?

The first step in the process of building your new home is deciding what you want your new home to look like, and what features you want your new home to have. We recommend that you put together two lists – the first list should be items or features you can’t compromise on – your ‘must–haves’. The second list should detail features you would like included if possible. It’s also a great idea to put together a scrapbook of ideas. If you get stuck, or you want some advice, give us a call or drop in and see us, we would love to help.This initial meeting is designed to gather information, answer any questions, and determine if your project and Island Style Homes is a good match.

2. DESIGN & BUILD OR PRE-DESIGNED?

The key decision you will make at this point is whether to use, or amend, a pre-designed plan from our collections, or create your home from scratch (Design & Build). There are advantages to both methods, but your site, your circumstances and your requirements will largely determine which option is the most suitable for you. If you are unsure, your New Home Consultant will provide you with all the info you will need to make this decision.

3. ESTIMATE

At Island Style Homes, we believe strongly that building companies have a responsibility to provide their clients with a quote that is based on facts, not guesswork. In order to reduce the risk of price escalation after the contract has been signed, we will request a small investment from you at this time for our Plan Deposit Service. It is good to keep in mind that the Plan Deposit investment is there for your protection, as it allows us to thoroughly investigate every single cost that is likely to be incurred during the construction of your new home, before you commit to building with us The amount you invest in the Plan Deposit is deducted from the final cost of your new home, should you decide to proceed with us.

4. DESIGN WORK

As part of the work we carry out to provide you with a comprehensive quote and ensure you get everything you want in your new home, our design team will consult with you at this time to finalize important details regarding design, claddings, cabinets, flooring, colors, fixtures and fittings. At your request, we have expert Interior Designers and Color Consultants on hand to provide assistance.

5. FIXED PRICE QUOTE

Once the detailed price and design work has been completed, a fixed-price quote, specifications and final drawings will be presented to you for sign-off. These documents and contract will detail exactly what your new home investment will be, along with a comprehensive list of everything that will be included.

6. THE GREEN LIGHT

Once you have given us final permission to proceed, we will then get local county permits and  approvals to build, and construction can commence on your new home. Commencement of work is typically within 14 days of permits being issued.

7. CONSTRUCTION

Prior to construction commencing, our clients are given the opportunity to participate in a pre-construction meeting, where they meet the Project Manager and other key participants in the creation of their new home. At their request, our clients are also invited to attend site meetings at various stages of construction, and our Project Managers maintain regular contact throughout to report on progress. Our CYBERBUILD portal allows you to have complete access to reports, pictures and updates from anywhere you have access to our cloud based system.

8. ENJOY

Once the home is completed and the county is happy that the home has been built as per the building codes, we can give you the keys to your brand new Island Style Home. Enjoy!Please rest assured this is not a complicated process, but one we have perfected over the years and are able to make memorable and enjoyable while keeping you in full control.
